Research Executive

Research Executive- Animal Cell Culture Responsibilities  

• Perform routine maintenance of animal cell lines, including cell thawing, revival,   subculturing (passaging), and cryopreservation. 

• Prepare complete culture media, buffers, reagents, and supplements under aseptic conditions. 

• Maintain adherent and suspension cell cultures in a sterile environment using Biosafety   Cabinets (BSC) and CO₂ incubators.  

• Perform cell counting and viability analysis using Trypan Blue exclusion assay and   hemocytometer.  

• Monitor cell morphology, growth, and confluency using an inverted microscope and maintain   healthy cell cultures. 

• Perform contamination detection and prevention, including monitoring for bacterial, fungal,   and mycoplasma contamination.  

• Carry out cell-based assays such as MTT assay, Cell Viability Assay, Cell Proliferation Assay,   Cytotoxicity Assay, Live/Dead Cell Assay, and Apoptosis Assays. 

• Perform sample preparation for flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy, and other   downstream molecular analyses.  

• Handle, label, store, and transport biological samples, cell lines, and reagents according to   laboratory SOPs and biosafety guidelines. 

• Participate in research planning, literature review, experimental design, and optimization of cell   culture protocols.  

• Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks, cell culture logs, inventory records, equipment   maintenance records, and project documentation. 

• Follow Good Cell Culture Practices (GCCP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), biosafety   regulations, and quality control procedures. 

• Learn and implement new cell culture techniques, SOPs, and experimental protocols to support   ongoing research projects.  

• Ensure ethical handling of biological materials and maintain confidentiality of research data   and project information.  

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support research, product development, validation   studies, and client projects.

Research Executive- Genomics Responsibilities  

• Performing DNA/RNA isolation, purification and characterization of samples. 

• Performing RT-PCR, Real time PCR and PCR amplifications for analysis of gene expression   with gel e. 

• Performing nucleic acid characterization with Gel electrophoresis (both qualitative and   quantitative).  

• Sample preparation for Sequencing and NGS analysis

• Handling, storage, and packaging of samples (raw and processed) as per guidelines.  

• Participation in planning and literature survey of the projects.  

• Create specific strategies for easier and effective execution of projects.  

• Keep records of all information related to project for documentation, clarification and   presentation to management  

• Learning new project SOPs and adding value Enhance department reputation by accepting   ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to   job accomplishments.  

• Adhere to ethical guidelines and standards for conducting research and handling data.  

• Protect sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.  

• Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and validity of research data and findings.  

• Implement quality control measures to maintain research standards.
