Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Content Developer to lead the development and quality assurance of General Studies (GS) content for Civil Services and other competitive examinations.

The candidate should have strong academic understanding, prior experience in developing examination-oriented educational content, and the ability to guide and supervise a team of Content Developers.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development of high-quality, exam-oriented General Studies content for Civil Services examinations.
  • Supervise and guide Content Developers working under the role.
  • Review, verify, fact-check, and refine content prepared by the Content Development team.
  • Ensure content is accurate, relevant, structured, concise, and aligned with the examination syllabus and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain content standards, formats, frameworks, and quality benchmarks.
  • Ensure appropriate integration of static concepts, current affairs, factual information, analytical perspectives, and examination relevance.
  • Review content from the perspective of Prelims, Mains, and overall competitive-exam requirements.
  • Identify gaps, outdated information, factual inconsistencies, and weak explanations and ensure timely correction.
  • Coordinate with faculty/academic teams to understand content requirements and improve the quality of study material.
  • Guide Content Developers in research methodology, topic selection, content structuring, question-oriented thinking, and presentation.
  • Maintain consistency in terminology, depth, difficulty level, and academic quality across subjects.
  • Research and validate information using reliable and authoritative sources wherever required.
  • Take ownership of the final academic quality and examination relevance of assigned content.
  • Required ProfileGraduate/Postgraduate with strong academic background.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in educational content development, Civil Services/competitive examination content, academic publishing, coaching, or EdTech.
  • Strong understanding of General Studies and the Civil Services examination ecosystem.
  • Prior experience in content review, fact-checking, editing, and quality control.
  • Experience of working with or leading a team of content developers will be preferred.
  • Strong research, analytical, writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to convert complex subjects into clear, structured, and exam-oriented learning material.
  • Strong understanding of what makes content useful specifically for competitive examinations, rather than generic educational content.

Preferred CandidateCandidates with prior experience as a faculty member, academic content lead, senior content developer, subject matter expert, curriculum/content editor, or academic coordinator in Civil Services/competitive examination preparation will be preferred.

The role requires a strong sense of academic ownership and accountability for the quality of the final content.
