Job Description
Job Title: Ambulance Helper (Patient Handling Attendant)
Location: ESIC Hospital, Ludhiana
Duty: 24-hour duty, on rotation as assigned
Main duties:
- Help the ambulance driver load patients into the ambulance and unload them safely.
- Move patients carefully using a stretcher, wheelchair or trolley.
- Stay with the patient during transport and keep them comfortable.
- Keep the ambulance, stretcher and equipment clean and ready to use.
- Follow hospital rules on hygiene, infection control and patient safety.
- Help hospital staff hand patients over at the emergency or ward.
Requirements:
- Physically fit and able to lift and move patients.
- Willing to work 24-hour shifts, including nights and holidays.
- Basic first aid knowledge preferred.
- Polite, patient and caring with patients and their families.
