Job Description
- AutoCAD / Interior Designer – Key DutiesPrepare 2D AutoCAD drawings for modular kitchens, wardrobes and other furniture.
- Create detailed working drawings with accurate dimensions, elevations, sections and layouts.
- Prepare cutting, panel and component details required for production.
- Develop 3D designs/renders of kitchens, wardrobes and interiors as required.
- Take and verify site measurements and ensure drawings match actual site conditions.
- Coordinate with the sales team, production team, carpenters and installers.
- Make revisions in drawings based on client requirements and site conditions.
- Prepare BOQs / material requirements and assist in costing when required.
- Ensure proper placement of appliances, electrical points, plumbing points and hardware.
- Check designs for practicality, functionality and manufacturability before sending them for production.
- Prepare final approved drawings for production and installation.
- Visit sites when required to check execution and alignment with approved drawings.
- Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions and project files.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding hardware, accessories, appliances and materials.
- Ensure all drawings are completed within the required project timelines.
