Interior Designer

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-driven Interior Drafter & 3D Visualizer to take ownership of end-to-end technical drawings and layouts for outlet projects. In this role, you will convert conceptual requirements and provided site dimensions into accurate 2D working drawings, execution-level service drawings, and realistic 3D visuals.

The ideal candidate has a deep eye for technical detailing, knows how construction materials come together in joinery and fit-outs, and produces drawings that on-site teams can execute without confusion or guesswork.

Key Responsibilities

 2D Layouts & Working Plans:

 Draft comprehensive 2D floor plans, furniture layouts, elevations, sections, and detailed joinery/millwork drawings.

 Develop execution-level working drawings: Reflected Ceiling Plans (RCP), electrical/power layouts, plumbing/drainage line layouts, lighting plans, and HVAC coordination drawings.

 Clearly call out material specifications, finishes, thickness notations, and clear dimensions on every sheet.

 3D Modeling & Visualization:

 Develop accurate 3D views, perspectives, and realistic renderings based on approved 2D layouts and finish schedules.

 Accurately represent real-world construction materials, textures, colors, and lighting fixtures in 3D renders.

 Material Detailing & Schedules:

 Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) support sheets, schedule of finishes, door/window schedules, and hardware/fitting lists.

 Integrate correct material applications into section details (e.g., laminates, acrylics, ACP, tiles, solid wood, metals, glass, quartz/granite).

 Revision Management & Drawing Standards:

 Quickly incorporate design modifications, revisions, and feedback into working drawings and 3D scenes.

 Maintain organized CAD layers, drawing sheet templates, title blocks, and version-controlled drawing sets.

Key Skills & Knowledge Required

 Deep Drawing & Detailing Acumen:

 Flawless understanding of drawing scales, line weights, dimension standards, and structural clearances.

 Deep eye for millimeter-level accuracy: wall reveals, skirting details, tile-drop lines, counter heights, and service concealments.

 Material & Construction Knowledge:

 Solid practical understanding of materials commonly used in commercial/retail interiors: ply/MDF boards, laminates, veneer, tiles, stainless steel, solid surfaces, MEP fittings, and modular fixtures.

 Understanding how drawings translate into physical build constraints (e.g., standard sheet sizes to minimize material wastage).

 Software Proficiency:

 2D: Advanced AutoCAD (shortcuts, dynamic blocks, layer management, sheet sets).

 3D & Rendering: SketchUp, 3ds Max, or Revit; paired with V-Ray, Enscape, Lumion, or Corona.

 Basic proficiency in MS Excel (for BOQ/finish schedules) and PDF markup tools.

Qualifications & Experience

 Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Draughtsmanship, or related technical field.

 2+ years of dedicated drafting and 3D visualization experience, preferably in retail, hospitality, or commercial interior fit-outs.

 Strong portfolio of actual working drawing sets (elevations, sections, electrical/services) alongside 3D renders.
