Automation Engineer - Siemens / ABB / Rockwell / Schneider

Torqmotion Global Pvt. Ltd. is a growing industrial automation and engineering company looking for skilled, hands-on PLC Automation Engineers with practical experience in Siemens / ABB / Rockwell / Schneider automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• PLC programming, development, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning.
• Work with Siemens S7-1200, S7-1500, S7-300/400, and ABB AC500 PLC systems, as applicable.
• Develop and modify PLC logic using Siemens TIA Portal, STEP 7, and ABB Automation Builder.
• HMI development using Siemens WinCC and ABB-compatible visualization platforms.
• SCADA development, integration, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
• Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication networks, including PROFINET, PROFIBUS, Modbus TCP/RTU, and Ethernet-based protocols.
• Integrate PLCs with VFDs, servo drives, remote I/O, sensors, and instrumentation.
• Perform FAT, SAT, site commissioning, and system validation.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, and P&IDs.
• Diagnose breakdowns, optimize existing automation systems, and provide technical support.
• Prepare PLC documentation, I/O lists, technical reports, and project handover documents.
• Coordinate with customers, project managers, panel design teams, and service engineers.
• Support automation retrofitting, modernization, and system integration projects.
• Travel to industrial customer sites for commissioning and troubleshooting.

Required Skills : Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering.

• 3–8 years of relevant industrial automation experience.
• Strong hands-on PLC programming and commissioning experience.
• Practical experience with Siemens or ABB PLC systems.
• Knowledge of HMI, SCADA, VFDs, and industrial communication protocols.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot PLC-based automation systems.
• Experience in steel, power, process, manufacturing, or other industrial plants preferred.
• Good communication, problem-solving, documentation, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel for industrial site assignments.
• Preferred SkillsSiemens TIA Portal, WinCC, and STEP 7.
• ABB Automation Builder, AC500 PLC.
• Siemens ET200 remote I/O systems.
• AVEVA / WinCC SCADA.
• VFD and servo drive integration.
• Industrial networking and control panel engineering.
• Experience independently handling site commissioning projects.
