Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities – Caregiver (Patient Home Care)1. Patient Care & Support
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Help with mobility, including walking support and transferring (bed to chair, etc.)
- Ensure patient comfort, safety, and dignity at all times
2. Health Monitoring
- Monitor vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure (if required)
- Observe and report any changes in the patient’s condition to family members or medical professionals
- Maintain basic health records if instructed
3. Medication Assistance
- Ensure timely medication as prescribed by the doctor
- Remind patients about medication schedules
- Maintain medication records (if required)
4. Nutrition & Meal Support
- Prepare and serve meals as per dietary requirements
- Assist patients with feeding if needed
- Ensure proper hydration throughout the day
5. Hygiene & Cleanliness
- Maintain personal hygiene of the patient
- Keep the patient’s room clean and organized
- Ensure proper sanitation and infection control practices
6. Emotional Support & Companionship
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Engage patients in conversation and light activities
- Be patient, polite, and respectful at all times
7. Mobility & Safety
- Assist in exercises or physiotherapy routines (if advised)
- Prevent falls and ensure a safe environment at home
- Handle emergency situations calmly and responsibly
8. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with family members regarding patient updates
- Follow instructions given by doctors or nurses
- Maintain clear and regular communication
9. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily reports of patient condition and activities (if required)
- Inform family immediately in case of any emergency or unusual behavior
