Job Title - Site Supervisor – Transport Operations (Construction Projects)
Reports To - Office Site Coordinator / Site Manager
Experience- 1 to 3 years
Qualification- Diploma or Bachelor's degree preferred (minimum 12th pass may be considered based on experience).
Available Locations- Reckong Pio - Himachal Pradesh, Siliguri & Guwahati - North East, Andhra Pradesh, Kishtwar - J&K State
Salary- ₹25,000 - ₹30,000
Job Summary:
The Site Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day deployment and operations of rental trucks at construction sites. The role involves coordinating with clients, drivers, and the head office to ensure timely vehicle availability, efficient operations, compliance with safety standards, and accurate documentation. The Site Supervisor serves as the primary point of contact at the project site for all transport-related activities.
Key Responsibilities:-
Operations Management:
Ø Supervise the deployment and movement of rental trucks at assigned construction sites.
Ø Coordinate with site engineers, client representatives, and dispatch teams for daily vehicle requirements.
Ø Ensure timely reporting and availability of trucks as per the project schedule.
Ø Monitor truck utilization and minimize idle time.
Driver Supervision:
Ø Assign duties and schedules to drivers.
Ø Maintain discipline and ensure compliance with company policies.
Ø Verify drivers possess valid licenses and required documents.
Ø Address driver concerns and report disciplinary issues to management.
Documentation & Reporting:
Ø Maintain daily attendance records of drivers and vehicles.
Ø Verify trip sheets, logbooks, fuel records, and timesheets.
Ø Record vehicle entry/exit, working hours, trips completed, and equipment usage.
Ø Submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports to the head office.
Vehicle Monitoring:
Ø Conduct routine inspections of trucks for cleanliness, roadworthiness, and safety.
Ø Report breakdowns, accidents, and maintenance requirements immediately.
Ø Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs with the workshop team.
Ø Ensure statutory documents such as Registration Certificate (RC), Insurance, Fitness
Ø Certificate, Pollution Under Control (PUC), and permits remain valid.
Client Coordination:
Ø Act as the company's representative at the construction site.
Ø Maintain professional communication with client representatives.
Ø Resolve operational issues promptly to ensure uninterrupted service.
Ø Escalate client complaints or special requirements to management.
Safety & Compliance:
Ø Ensure drivers comply with site safety regulations and traffic laws.
Ø Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks when required.
Ø Ensure the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Ø Report accidents, incidents, and near misses as per company procedures.
Billing Support:
Ø Verify client-approved timesheets and trip records.
Ø Assist the accounts team by providing accurate documentation for billing.
Ø Monitor any additional services provided for proper invoicing.
Required Qualifications:
> Diploma or Bachelor's degree preferred (minimum 12th pass may be considered based on experience).
> 1–2 years of experience in transport, logistics, fleet management, or construction site operations.
> Experience supervising truck operations at infrastructure or construction projects is preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
Ø Strong leadership and team management skills.
Ø Good communication and coordination abilities.
Ø Knowledge of transport documentation and fleet operations.
Ø Basic computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word, email).
Ø Ability to prepare reports and maintain records.
Ø Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ø Familiarity with construction site safety requirements.

Ø Truck utilization percentage.
Ø On-time vehicle availability.
Ø Vehicle downtime.
Ø Driver attendance and discipline.
Ø Accuracy of operational records.
Ø Client satisfaction.
Ø Safety compliance and incident rate.
Ø Timely submission of reports and billing documents.
Working Conditions:
Ø Based at construction project sites.
Ø May require extended working hours depending on project requirements.
Ø Frequent interaction with drivers, client representatives, mechanics, and company management.
