Role Overview

Edvia is looking for an energetic and target-oriented Telecaller to manage outbound calling activities for student lead generation and initial counselling support. The role focuses on connecting with prospective students, understanding their study abroad interests, and generating qualified leads for the counselling team.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, strong calling confidence, and prior experience in inside sales or lead conversion roles. This is not a customer support role; the focus is on lead engagement, follow-ups, and conversion-driven communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to prospective student leads on a daily basis.
• Handle a minimum of 100 calls per day with an expected connected call ratio of 30–40%.
• Engage and qualify student leads based on their study abroad interests and eligibility.
• Explain basic information regarding study abroad opportunities, courses, and admission processes.
• Schedule counselling sessions for interested students with the counselling team.
• Perform regular follow-ups with leads to maintain engagement and improve conversions.
• Update lead status, call remarks, and follow-up details accurately in the CRM system.
• Maintain professionalism and a positive approach during all student interactions.
• Work closely with the admissions and counselling team to ensure smooth lead handover.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in telecalling, inside sales, or lead generation roles.
• Experience in EdTech, overseas education, or service-based industries is preferred.
• Strong English communication skills with clear pronunciation and confidence over calls.
• Comfortable handling high-volume outbound calling targets.
• Good persuasion and lead conversion abilities.
• Basic knowledge of CRM systems and lead management tools.
• Graduate in any stream preferred.
• Preferred Candidate ProfileBackground in inside sales or lead conversion roles preferred.
• Self-motivated, energetic, and target-driven personality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with daily calling targets.
• Candidates from customer support or pure service profiles may not be suitable unless they have sales exposure.
