Accountant

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Accountant to manage day to day accounting operations and statutory compliances. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accounts in Tally Prime, handling GST and TDS, reconciliations, inventory accounting, and supporting the company’s financial reporting.

Company Profile: A trading company engaged in the sourcing, distribution, and supply of cosmetics. 

Location: Kandivali East, Mumbai 

Office time: 9 AM to 6 PM 

Key Responsibilities: 

* Maintain complete day-to-day accounts in Tally Prime.

* Record purchase, sales, expenses, receipts, payments and journal entries.

* Prepare and verify sales and purchase invoices, debit notes and credit notes.

* Maintain customer and supplier ledgers and conduct regular reconciliations.

* Handle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

* Prepare and maintain Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).

* Manage stock and inventory accounting for cosmetics and dry fruits.

* Calculate, prepare and ensure timely GST payments and GST return filings, including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.

* Reconcile purchase data and Input Tax Credit (ITC) with GSTR-2B.

* Calculate and manage TDS deductions, payments and quarterly TDS returns.

* Maintain proper records and documentation for GST, TDS and other statutory compliances.

* Assist in preparation of monthly Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and MIS reports.

* Coordinate with the company’s CA, auditors, banks and tax consultants.

* Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual closing of accounts.

* Ensure accurate maintenance of financial records and supporting documents.

* Handle any other accounting and taxation responsibilities assigned by management
