Business Development Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an energetic, target-driven, and people-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our fitness studio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving membership sales, generating new business opportunities, building partnerships, and helping the studio achieve its revenue and growth targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate leads through calls, walk-ins, referrals, social media, local outreach, and partnerships.
• Drive new membership sales and achieve monthly revenue targets.
• Follow up with prospective clients and convert leads into memberships.
• Conduct studio tours and explain membership plans, personal training, and other services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential members.
• Develop corporate, residential, and local business partnerships to generate new leads.
• Identify new business opportunities and implement strategies to increase studio revenue.
• Track leads, conversions, follow-ups, and sales performance on a regular basis.
• Work closely with trainers and the studio team to ensure a smooth member onboarding experience.
• Handle sales enquiries, objections, negotiations, and membership renewals professionally.
• Monitor competitor activities and local market trends.
• Participate in promotional campaigns, events, fitness workshops, and community activities.
• Prepare regular sales and business development reports for management.

Requirements:

• Experience in gym, fitness studio, wellness, hospitality, or similar customer-facing businesses is preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or fitness/wellness industry.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets.
• Good understanding of lead generation and conversion processes.
• Confident in handling customer objections and closing sales.
• Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
• Comfortable working with sales targets and performance metrics.
• Basic knowledge of CRM systems, Excel/Google Sheets, and digital communication tools.
• Passion for fitness, health, and wellness is an advantage.
