Job Description
- 1. Loan Evaluation & Credit Assessment Review and underwrite personal loan applications in accordance with defined credit policies and norms.
- Analyze bank statements, income proofs, financial documents, and credit bureau reports such as CIBIL, CRIF, and Experian.
- Identify discrepancies, fraud indicators, and potential risk factors in customer information and documentation.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and consistent underwriting decisions within the assigned approval authority.
- 2. Policy Compliance & Risk Control Ensure all credit and underwriting decisions comply with company policies, credit frameworks, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Identify cases requiring escalation and recommend exceptions to Senior Credit Managers, wherever necessary.
- Ensure strict adherence to KYC, AML, RBI guidelines, and internal risk-control processes.
- 3. Portfolio Quality & Risk Monitoring Monitor the quality of the loan portfolio and identify potential credit risks.
- Coordinate with Risk and Collection teams to improve portfolio quality and minimize credit losses.
- Provide inputs on recurring risk patterns and areas requiring corrective action.
- 4. Coordination & CommunicationCoordinate with Sales, Operations, Verification, and other relevant teams for smooth and timely file processing.
- Clearly communicate approval conditions, additional documentation requirements, queries, and rejection reasons.
- Support Sales teams by providing guidance on documentation requirements and credit policies.
- Assist in conducting training sessions for Sales teams on credit norms, documentation, and basic underwriting requirements, whenever required.
