Personal Driver

About the Role

We are looking for a trustworthy, well-mannered and experienced driver for the Director of Solastaa Hair & Skin Pvt. Ltd. The driver will be responsible for safely driving the Director to salons, meetings, sites and personal appointments across Kalyan, Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, and for keeping the vehicle in top condition at all times. The role also includes supporting the Director with small errands and day-to-day tasks when not driving.

Key Responsibilities

1. Driving duties

•      Drive the Director safely and punctually to all scheduled locations – salon branches, offices, client meetings, project sites, airport / station pick-ups and drops.

•      Report at the Director's residence in Kalyan by 10:00 AM sharp every working day, with the vehicle cleaned and ready.

•      Plan routes in advance using Google Maps; avoid traffic jams, road closures and toll delays; always be aware of alternate routes.

•      Drive both automatic and manual transmission cars smoothly and defensively; follow all traffic rules, speed limits and seat-belt norms.

•      Handle FASTag / tolls, parking and fuel refills; keep receipts and submit them for reimbursement.

•      Be available for occasional outstation trips (Pune, Lonavala, Alibaug, Nashik etc.) with prior notice.

2. Vehicle care & maintenance (major responsibility)

•      Keep the vehicle clean inside and out daily – washing, vacuuming, dashboard and glass cleaning.

•      Daily check of fuel, engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, tyre pressure, lights, wipers, horn and AC before starting duty.

•      Track and schedule periodic servicing, PUC, insurance renewal and tyre rotation; coordinate with the authorised service centre and inform the Director in advance.

•      Maintain a vehicle logbook – daily km, fuel filled, service dates, expenses and any damage / issues.

•      Report any mechanical problem, warning light or minor damage immediately; never drive an unsafe vehicle.

•      Keep all vehicle documents (RC, insurance, PUC, FASTag) valid and in the car at all times.

•      Ensure the vehicle is securely parked and locked; be responsible for keys, accessories and items left in the car.

3. Other support duties

•      Assist with small errands – bank work, courier / document delivery, bill payments, picking up supplies for salons, collecting cheques or papers from offices.

•      Help with loading / unloading bags, salon material or office items when required.

•      Support with basic office / household tasks when not on driving duty (e.g., visiting government offices, standing in queues, handing over documents).

•      Occasionally drive family members of the Director (school / tuition pick-up, personal appointments) when asked.

•      Maintain confidentiality of all conversations, documents and visits – no sharing of the Director's schedule, business or personal matters with anyone.

Candidate Requirements

Mandatory

•      Valid, active LMV driving licence (minimum 5 years old); clean driving record with no major accidents or serious traffic violations.

•      Minimum 5 years of experience as a personal / family / corporate driver, preferably with a business owner, director or senior executive.

•      Must have worked and driven extensively in Kalyan–Dombivli, Thane, Mumbai and Navi Mumbai – excellent knowledge of roads, landmarks, bypasses, highways (Eastern Express, Western Express, Mumbai–Pune Expressway, Sion–Panvel, Palm Beach Road, Shilphata, Katai–Badlapur etc.) and parking spots in these areas.

•      Comfortable driving both automatic and manual cars, especially automatic SUVs (Kia Seltos or similar) and manual hatchbacks / sedans.

•      Well known and reputed in the local area – must provide verifiable references from at least 2 previous employers.

•      Willing to undergo police verification and background check; Aadhaar, PAN and address proof must be submitted at the time of joining.

•      Resident of Kalyan / Dombivli / Ulhasnagar / Ambernath or nearby (within 30 minutes of Kalyan West) – must be able to report by 10:00 AM daily.

•      Physically fit, with good eyesight (with or without spectacles); medical fitness certificate may be required.

Preferred

•      Age 28 to 45 years.

•      Education: minimum 10th pass; able to read road signs, bills and basic documents in English, Hindi and Marathi.

•      Languages: fluent Hindi and Marathi; basic English understanding.

•      Owns a smartphone and is comfortable with Google Maps, WhatsApp, UPI payments and FASTag / parking apps.

•      Basic knowledge of vehicle troubleshooting – changing a tyre, jump-starting, checking fluids.

•      Experience with insurance claim process and dealing with service centres / RTO is a plus.

Personal Qualities & Conduct

•      Honest, reliable, punctual and disciplined – zero tolerance for late reporting without prior notice.

•      Polite, soft-spoken and well-groomed; neat appearance (clean clothes / uniform if provided, trimmed hair, no strong perfume).

•      No consumption of alcohol, tobacco, gutkha or pan while on duty; strictly no drink-and-drive at any time.

•      Calm temperament – no road rage, arguments with other drivers or traffic police.

•      Patient and able to wait for long hours when required, without complaints.

•      No use of mobile phone while driving; personal calls to be kept to a minimum during duty.

•      Respectful of privacy – does not interrupt or involve himself in the Director's calls and meetings.

•      Flexible attitude – willing to take up small tasks beyond driving without hesitation.
