Job Description
RMO – BAMS / BHMS | Oncology CenterPosition: Resident Medical Officer (RMO)
Department: Oncology / Clinical Operations
Qualification: BAMS / BHMS
Experience: 1–6 years preferred; Oncology/Hospital experience preferred
Employment Type: Full-Time
Shift: Rotational shifts, (Morning and Afternoon shifts 9 hours duty) (Monday to Saturday Working days) Sunday Fixed off
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage day-to-day care of oncology patients under the guidance of senior/consultant doctors.
- Conduct patient assessments, record medical history, and monitor vital signs.
- Monitor patients before, during and after oncology treatments as per center protocols.
- Identify changes in patient condition and promptly escalate critical cases to the consultant/oncologist.
- Handle basic medical emergencies and provide immediate clinical support.
- Conduct regular ward/patient rounds and maintain accurate medical records.
- Coordinate with oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, laboratory and other clinical departments.
- Assist consultants during patient consultations and clinical procedures as required.
- Review investigation reports and communicate significant findings to the treating doctor.
- Counsel patients and attendants regarding treatment, medication, precautions and follow-up under the direction of the treating physician.
- Ensure proper documentation, discharge summaries and treatment records.
- Follow hospital infection-control, safety and clinical protocols.
- Support smooth day-to-day clinical operations of the Oncology Center.
Eligibility:
- BAMS / BHMS from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the respective medical council.
- Good clinical assessment and patient-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
- Oncology experience will be an added advantage.
