Store Keeper

Job Description –

Store Keeper Responsible for managing and overseeing daily store operations, inventory control, and material handling to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and issuance of goods and supplies. Maintain accurate inventory records, ensure proper stock availability, and coordinate with relevant departments to support smooth operational activities while adhering to company policies and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory and Stock Management

• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock registers.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure the timely replenishment of materials.
• Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
• Identify slow-moving, damaged, expired, or obsolete stock.

2. Receiving and Issuing Materials

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders, invoices, and delivery challans.
• Ensure the correct quantity and quality of materials received.
• Issue materials to authorized personnel and departments against approved requisitions.
• Maintain proper documentation for all stock movements.

3. Documentation and Reporting

• Update inventory records using MS Excel and inventory management software.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports as required.
• Maintain records of receipts, issues, returns, transfers, and stock adjustments.
• Ensure proper filing and traceability of inventory-related documents.

4. Store Organization and Safety

• Ensure systematic storage, labeling, and identification of materials.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper utilization of store space.
• Follow safety procedures for material handling, storage, and preservation.
• Prevent material damage, loss, wastage, and unauthorized stock movement.

5. Coordination and Operational Support

• Coordinate with procurement, accounts, suppliers, and other departments regarding material requirements.
• Follow up on pending deliveries and shortages to ensure timely availability of stock.
• Support internal and external stock audits by providing accurate records and documentation.
• Adhere to company policies, inventory control procedures, and operational guidelines.
