Research Analyst Intern

We are looking for a Research Analyst Intern who is curious about financial markets, mutual funds, companies, and economic trends. This internship will provide practical exposure to financial research, market analysis, mutual fund research, Excel-based data analysis, and preparation of research reports. The ideal candidate should have a strong learning attitude, attention to detail, and an interest in understanding how financial markets work. This is a research-focused role and not a pure sales position. Key Responsibilities • Conduct research on mutual funds, equity markets, sectors, industries, and economic trends. • Collect, organise and analyse financial and market-related data. • Study mutual fund performance, portfolio allocation, risk metrics and historical performance. • Track important market developments, corporate announcements and economic indicators. • Compare different investment products and prepare research summaries. • Prepare Excel-based reports, dashboards and analysis. • Assist senior team members with investment-related research and data analysis. • Prepare daily/weekly market research reports. • Use reliable sources to collect and verify financial information. • Maintain research databases and update information regularly. • Identify trends and insights from large datasets. • Prepare presentations and reports based on research findings. • Support the team in various research and analytical projects. Required Skills • Strong interest in Stock Market, Mutual Funds and Financial Markets. • Good knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets. • Basic knowledge of financial concepts and investment products. • Good analytical and logical thinking. • Strong attention to detail. • Good written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to research information independently. • Ability to work with numbers and large datasets. • Willingness to learn new tools and technologies. Preferred Skills Candidates with knowledge of any of the following will have an advantage: • Advanced Excel • VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP • Pivot Tables • Financial analysis • Basic Python • Basic SQL • Power BI • Google Sheets • ChatGPT / Claude and other AI research tools • Financial websites and research platforms We are looking for someone who has: • Strong interest in mutual funds, stock markets and financial markets. • Good analytical and numerical ability. • Strong knowledge of MS Excel. • Ability to research information from reliable financial sources. • Excellent attention to detail. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to interpret financial data and draw meaningful conclusions. • Ability to work independently as well as with a team. • Curiosity to continuously learn about markets and investments.
