Supply Chain Executive

Responsibilities

1. Maintain a live picture of material due in — open POs, items in transit, what arrives today and this week
2. Maintain a live picture of pending dispatches — what is ready, what is waiting on stock, documents or a decision
3. Plan the day's work for the stores and SCM team each morning and assign it clearly
4. Prioritise dispatches by delivery commitment, penalty exposure, customer urgency and vehicle availability
5. Check at the end of each day what was completed and what was not, and why
6. Ensure inward checking — quantity, part number, brand, condition — and same-day reporting of shortage, excess or damage
7. Enforce packing standards, expiry checks at receipt and picking, and the rule that no package leaves without an e-invoice
8. Run stock counts, investigate diAerences, and flag non-moving stock
9. Escalate blockers the same day rather than letting consignments sit
10. Submit a daily status and a weekly summary of pending dispatches with reasons

Requirements

1. Graduate, 2–5 years in stores, warehouse, dispatch or supply chain coordination
2. Able to hold a long pending list in your head and still know what matters most
3. Comfortable directing a team and checking that instructions were carried out
4. Willing to correct a person rather than quietly fix their mistake yourself
5. Careful with detail — one wrong digit sends the wrong material to a plant
6. Honest about problems, including stock diAerences that are inconvenient Excel and email; ability to learn Tally or an ERP
