This 12-month apprenticeship, under India's National Apprenticeship Training Scheme, provides valuable on-the-job training; Please note, there is no obligation for permanent employment with Deutsche Bank Group upon completion of the Apprenticeship Training tenure.

Role Description

• Enterprise and Treasury Risk Management (ETRM) provides a cross-risk view of the Bank’s risk profile across risk types, businesses and geographies, and oversees risks related to the Bank’s balance sheet. As the risk controlling function for credit risk, ETRM plays a central role in connecting portfolio insights, risk appetite and management actions.

• This role sits within the ETRM function in Mumbai and offers exposure to cross-risk portfolio monitoring, senior stakeholder engagement and enterprise-wide risk analysis. The successful candidate will support high-quality portfolio risk reporting, help identify emerging risk themes and contribute to timely portfolio steering actions that inform risk decisions across the Bank.

Your key responsibilities

The primary responsibilities will be around below areas:

• Regularly produce Portfolio Risk Reports ensuring timely delivery and maximum data quality standards 

• Proactively support the identification and monitoring of portfolio hotspot, emerging risk and potential risk appetite breach.

• Closely interact with different risk teams and portfolio owners to keep track of risk-topics under watch and ensure timely execution of portfolio steering actions

• Ensure controls around processes such as completeness and accuracy & adherence to key operating procedures

• Be involved in ad-hoc projects / investigation requests from Stakeholders

Your skills and experience

• Good knowledge of risk management fundamentals and understanding of credit analysis and products across Corporate/ Investment/ Retail banking

• MS office tools (Excel, PowerPoint), Gen AI and comfortable working with large sets of data; Experience with additional programming languages is a plus, e.g. Python.

• Strong project management skills - ability to multi-task, perform within tight deadlines and remain agile to evolving requirements

• Good written and verbal communication skills – ability to articulate and elaborate topics with global stakeholders

• A reliable team player with the motivation to work in a dynamic, international and diverse environment.

Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
