The opportunity :

As discussed today, we have requirement for one of our client , for Pune locaƟon on Appsec Secrets
Management professional

. Experience: • 4–5 years of experience in ApplicaƟon Security, SSDLC, Governance, or similar roles.

Required Qualifi caƟons
• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Engineering, or a related fi eld.

Must-Have Skills
• Strong understanding of secrets exposure risks (API keys, tokens, passwords, cerƟfi cates).
• Experience reviewing secrets scanning outputs and validaƟng remediaƟon acƟons.
• Working knowledge of SAST concepts and governance workfl ows.
• Familiarity with GitHub and CI/CD environments.
• Strong documentaƟon, coordinaƟon, and communicaƟon skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills
• Exposure to Checkmarx tools.
• Familiarity with enterprise tracking tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Familiarity with Security Governance.

Tasks & ResponsibiliƟes
Govern and track Secrets fi ndings across repositories, ensuring remediaƟon within defi ned SLAs.
Coordinate with development, plaƞorm, risk, and compliance teams on remediaƟon, excepƟons, deferrals, and
risk acceptances.
Maintain governance artefacts, audit-ready documentaƟon, metrics, dashboards, and execuƟve reporƟng.
Monitor remediaƟon progress, idenƟfy overdue items, and drive stakeholder escalaƟons as required.
Act as the primary point of contact for developer and stakeholder queries, providing guidance on fi ndings,
remediaƟon, and governance processes.
Analyze fi ndings from approved security tools, validate closure evidence, review false posiƟves, and support
process improvements.
Deliver weekly/monthly governance reports covering remediaƟon trends, ageing fi ndings, excepƟons, and
overall risk posture.
Work on fi netuning the secret scanning rule sets for reducing noise due to false posiƟves
