Job Description

Job Title: Pavement Design Engineer

Location: Mumbai, India

Job Type: Contract for 1 year ( extendible / convertible)

Education: M-Tech in Transportation Engineering with specialization in Highway/Pavement Design.

Experience: Minimum of 12 years of experience in pavement design and highway projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Comprehensive understanding of various pavement materials, testing methods, mix designs, and construction specifications.
• Plan and oversee all field tests on highway assets, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
• Review design drawings and specifications related to highway pavements, including main carriageway, service roads, and high embankment construction.
• Identify and evaluate value engineering opportunities related to pavement design and recommend cost-effective solutions without compromising quality and performance.
• Conduct detailed rate analysis and cost estimation for formation, sub-base, base, and wearing courses. Preparing comprehensive cost estimates for various pavement layers and construction phases.
• Review and verify all key Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) tests in road construction materials.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and specifications for formation, sub-base, base, and wearing courses.
• Expertise in both flexible and rigid pavement analysis and design, including overlay designs, pavement evaluation, and rehabilitation strategies as per industry standards.
• Proficient knowledge of pavement design using IIT Pave, Civil3D, and other relevant tools.
• Aware of Highway lifecycle cost analysis using HDM-4 software.
• Well-versed in the latest industry practices, innovative pavement materials, and emerging technologies
