Manager - Sales - Container Freight Station - Nhava Sheva
To develop and manage sales strategies and customer relationships that drive revenue growth for the CFS. The role is responsible for client acquisition, retention, service promotion, and overall sales performance while ensuring alignment with operational capacity and organizational goals.
- Develop and execute sales plans to meet revenue, volume, and growth targets for CFS operations.
- Identify and onboard new clients including importers, exporters, CHAs, freight forwarders, and 3PLs.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers through regular interaction and value-added services.
- Prepare and present business proposals, pricing offers, and service contracts in coordination with commercial and operations teams.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to capitalize on business opportunities.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure timely and satisfactory service delivery.
- Maintain updated records of customer interactions, business leads, and sales pipelines through CRM systems.
- Support the collection team by ensuring timely payments from clients and resolving billing issues if any.
- Provide periodic sales performance reports, forecasts, and customer feedback to senior management.
- Participate in logistics exhibitions, trade events, and client meets to enhance market presence.
- Share market intelligence, industry best practices, sales techniques and product knowledge with the team, while fostering a solution-centric mindset to drive business growth.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams/sectors and departments to identify and develop new business opportunities.
