QC Engineer - Mech

A professional with 5 - 10 years of experience (BE / B.Tech - Mech) or 10 -12 yrs of experience (Diploma in Mech) in field Quality Control activities in Water infrastructure / EPC / Construction / Infrastructure / Oil & gas / Refinery and allied Businesses. Qualified internal auditor of ISO 9001 - Quality Management. 

 Requisites:

• Preferable: working in water wastewater, storm water network and drainage design projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements and conducting thorough Quality checks / reviews of work activities.
• Preparation & control of Project Quality system management documentation prior to project commencement.
• Responsible for Overall Quality of the products and services delivered to Customers
• Thorough knowledge of construction methods including its practice / procedures and Prepare SOPs and ITPs for site and lab activities.
• Familiarity with international codes, ASME, IS standards, regulations and practices applicable to Construction & Water industry.
• Exposure to piping system (HDPE, DI & MS pipes) - Manufacturing, laying & testing and Welding Procedure Qualification & Performance Qualification
• Experience in welding automation & PAUT
• Certified welding inspector preferable & NDT Level II certification in DPT, UT & RT
• Ensuring raw material inspection, in-process inspection and final inspection carried out as per QAP/ITP, process chart, work instruction and customer requirements
• Attend Client Quality Management meetings and coordinate all project requirements with Stakeholders. Resolution of customer complaints wrt Quality.
• Manage and Track Quality metrics. Digital solutions wrt Quality implementation.
• Perform onsite field observation of installed work (e.g. concrete, structural steel, process and mechanical piping, electrical, etc.).
• Develop vendor quality awareness and ensure that quality controls are performed during the vendor manufacturing process as per QAP
• Monitor the disposition of all issued nonconformance reports.
• Provide training and support to QA team.
• Preparation of QA manual control and supervision of all amendments and revisions.
• Liaison with external lab for specialized testing, certifications bodies and timely resolutions.
