Waiter / Steward

Job Description

Medha Resort is looking for a smart, polite, well-groomed, and customer-focused Female Steward to join our hospitality team. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing excellent dining services, assisting guests, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a pleasant and comfortable resort experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and assist them with seating arrangements.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and professionally.
• Serve food, beverages, and refreshments according to resort service standards.
• Prepare dining tables, arrange cutlery, and maintain proper table settings.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff for timely food service.
• Assist with breakfast, lunch, dinner, buffet, and room service operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in dining areas.
• Respond politely to guest requests, questions, and complaints.
• Support special events, private dining, and resort functions.
• Follow food safety, personal hygiene, and hospitality standards.
• Maintain proper grooming, uniform, and professional appearance.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and front-office teams when required.

Educational Qualifications

• Minimum Higher Secondary (12th Pass).
• Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality is preferred.
• Candidates with Food & Beverage Service training will receive preference.

Required Skills

• Good communication skills in Bengali, Hindi, and basic English.
• Pleasant personality and professional grooming.
• Excellent guest-handling and customer service skills.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
• Ability to work in a team and handle busy service hours.
• Punctual, disciplined, and responsible.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Experience

• 0–2 years of experience in hotels, resorts, restaurants, or hospitality services.
• Freshers with good communication skills and a willingness to learn are welcome.
