About Ghar Se

Ghar Se is a cloud kitchen bringing together comforting, homely meals and fun, delicious snacks. We are looking for a passionate Cook / Assistant Chef who can help us prepare fresh, tasty food while maintaining the quality and warmth of homemade cooking.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook homely meals, snacks, and other menu items as per the kitchen’s recipes and standards.
• Assist with the preparation of items such as mini burgers, momos, samosas, and other snacks, depending on the menu.
• Follow standard recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines.
• Ensure food is fresh, tasty, hygienically prepared, and consistent in quality.
• Handle daily mise en place—washing, cutting, chopping, marinating, and preparing ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness of the cooking area, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and safe cooking practices.
• Check ingredient quality and inform the kitchen manager when stock is running low.
• Assist with grocery receiving, storage, and proper stock rotation.
• Help manage cooking during busy hours and ensure orders are prepared on time.
• Minimise food wastage and maintain proper portion control.
• Assist in packing orders neatly and ensuring the correct items are dispatched.
• Support the kitchen owner / head chef in daily kitchen operations.

Requirements

• Experience as a Cook, Assistant Chef, or Kitchen Helper in a restaurant, cloud kitchen, café, or similar setup.
• Good knowledge of Indian home-style cooking and basic snack preparation.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent taste.
• Basic understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good teamwork, discipline, and time management.
• Willingness to learn new recipes and support different kitchen tasks.
• Must be comfortable working in a non-vegetarian kitchen, if required by the menu.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with South Indian, North Indian, or home-style meals.
• Experience preparing burgers, momos, samosas, and other quick-service snacks.
• Basic knowledge of food portioning, storage, and inventory.
• Ability to work independently when required.
• Previous experience in a cloud kitchen or delivery-focused kitchen is an advantage.
