Accountant

Core Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and publish balance sheets, profit-and-loss (P&L) statements, income statements, and cash-flow reports.
• Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, general ledgers, and accounts payable/receivable.
• Month-End/Year-End Close: Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Tax & Compliance: Compute taxes, prepare tax returns, and ensure adherence to local and federal financial regulations.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist management with budget forecasts, variance analysis, and cash-flow tracking.
• Auditing: Support internal and external audits by organizing records and resolving discrepancies.
• Project Accounting & Cost Tracking:
• Maintain project-wise cost sheets for material procurement, labor, transport, and site overheads.
• Track actual expenses against approved solar project budgets.
• Billing & Invoicing:
• Prepare and raise client running account (RA) bills and milestone-based invoices according to work orders.
• Process vendor, supplier, and subcontractor invoices after verifying delivery challans (DCs) and Goods Received Notes (GRNs).

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: B.Com, M.Com, or MBA (Finance) from a recognized university.
• Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in solar, construction, or infrastructure/EPC sectors. [1]
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally Prime, SAP, or QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Good understanding of GST, TDS rules, and billing workflows.
