Position: Café Chef

Location: Nashik

Experience: 0-5 years in café, restaurant, QSR, or similar kitchen

Salary: ₹20000 per month, depending on experience

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Café Chef to manage day-to-day kitchen operations, prepare high-quality food, maintain hygiene standards, and ensure consistency in taste and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook café menu items including breakfast, snacks, sandwiches, burgers, pasta, pizza, beverages and other dishes as required.

Maintain consistent taste, quality, portion size and presentation.

Plan daily food preparation and ensure timely service during peak hours.

Manage kitchen inventory and monitor stock levels.

Minimize food wastage and control food cost/COGS.

Check the quality and freshness of raw materials.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and equipment.

Follow proper food safety and storage practices.

Train and supervise kitchen helpers and other kitchen staff.

Develop new dishes and suggest improvements to the menu.

Ensure proper handling and maintenance of kitchen equipment.

Coordinate with the café manager/service team for smooth operations.

Required Skills:

Good knowledge of café and fast-food cuisine.

Strong understanding of food preparation and hygiene.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Good leadership and team-management skills.

Knowledge of food costing and portion control.

Creativity in developing new menu items.

Punctual, disciplined and responsible.

Preferred Candidate:

A chef who has experience in setting up or working in a new café, including menu preparation, kitchen setup, recipe standardization and staff training.

Working Hours: 9–10 hours per day, as per café operating schedule
