Job Description
- Roles and responsibilities
- Collect assigned orders, verify items against the manifest and confirm pickup on the app
- Plan the delivery route and complete drops within the promised time window
- Verify customer identity where required and capture proof of delivery
- Collect cash on delivery amounts and deposit them per the daily settlement process
- Handle returns, refusals and undelivered orders per the escalation process
- Maintain the vehicle in working condition and carry valid licence, registration and insurance
- Follow safety rules on the road, including helmet use and load limits
- Report delays, address issues and customer complaints in real time
- Skills required
- Valid two-wheeler or LMV driving licence and road familiarity
- Smartphone comfort with delivery and navigation apps
- Basic numeracy for cash handling and settlement
- Courteous customer interaction at the doorstep
- Time management across a dense drop schedule
- Qualifications and experience
- Class 10 or equivalent; formal education requirements are usually flexible
- Valid driving licence and vehicle documents, own vehicle for most roles
- 0-2 years of experience; freshers are commonly hired and trained
