Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Engineer to provide comprehensive technical support to end users. The Desktop Engineer will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting desktop hardware, software, peripherals, and network-related issues. This role also involves coordinating with other IT teams, ensuring minimal downtime, and maintaining a high standard of user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain desktop/laptop systems, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and standard business applications (MS Office, Email clients, browsers, etc.)

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, printers, scanners, and other peripherals

Provide first-level support for networking issues (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi)

Support users with Hana SAP system & HRMS system (with the help of third party support)

Execute IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities as per business requirements

Monitor and maintain end-user system performance, ensuring system security and efficiency

Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls (Active Directory experience preferred)

Maintain IT asset records and assist in inventory audits

Provide basic support and coordination for enterprise applications such as SAP, HRMS, and IT ticketing systems

Handle basic support for biometric attendance systems and surveillance infrastructure (CCTV/DVR)

Log and manage incidents and service requests via ITSM tools like ServiceNow, Freshservice, or ManageEngine

Document issues, resolutions, and system changes for internal records and audit compliance

Coordinate with third-party vendors or OEMs for hardware/software escalations

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum 4 years of experience in desktop or IT support roles

Strong knowledge of End User Computing (EUC) – hardware, OS, applications

Basic understanding of CCTV and biometric attendance systems

Experience with ITSM platforms and ticket management

Familiarity with SAP (front-end navigation) and HRMS portals is a plus

Good understanding of IT security practices and endpoint compliance

Strong communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills

Work Environment

Field-based/on-site presence across assigned client locations

May require occasional travel between multiple facilities

Availability to work extended hours or weekends for critical support when necessary
