Litigation Executive / Legal Executive – Litigation


Job Summary


We are looking for an experienced Litigation Executive / Legal Executive – Litigation to manage and coordinate the company’s legal and litigation matters before the High Court, District Courts, Lower Courts, and relevant government authorities. The role will be responsible for litigation management, court proceedings, advocate coordination, legal drafting, property due diligence, title searches, legal documentation, and liaisoning with government and revenue authorities, including the Tahsildar, Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Collector’s Office, and Talathi. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in real estate legal matters, litigation, court proceedings, property documentation, title verification, advocate coordination, and government liaisoning.


1. Litigation Management & Court Proceedings


• Handle and monitor the company’s litigation matters before the High Court, District Courts, Lower Courts, and other relevant judicial forums.

• Coordinate and follow up on ongoing civil, property-related, revenue, and other legal matters.

• Attend court hearings and coordinate with advocates to ensure timely representation and follow-up.

• Maintain updated records of case details, hearing dates, case status, court orders, and next action points.

• Monitor case progress and ensure timely submission of required documents and compliance with court directions.

• Track important deadlines and ensure timely action on court orders and legal proceedings.


2. Advocate Coordination & Legal Advisory


• Coordinate with advocates, solicitors, and external legal consultants regarding ongoing and upcoming matters.

• Share case files, documents, evidence, and other relevant information with advocates.

• Obtain legal opinions and advice from advocates whenever required.

• Discuss case developments, legal strategies, documentation requirements, and follow-up actions with external counsel.

• Maintain effective communication and coordination with legal professionals to ensure timely handling of company matters.


3. Legal Drafting & Documentation


• Draft, review, and prepare legal notices, replies, applications, affidavits, undertakings, representations, and official correspondence.

• Prepare replies to legal notices, government communications, and other official correspondence.

• Draft Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) for flat and property-related transactions.

• Prepare and review agreements, declarations, undertakings, and other property-related legal documents.

• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of legal documents in consultation with advocates and authorized company representatives.


4. Property Due Diligence & Title Search


• Conduct and coordinate property title searches and document verification.

• Prepare and maintain Legal Search Reports and Title Search Reports for properties and real estate transactions.

• Verify property ownership records, revenue records, title documents, and other relevant legal documents.

• Identify potential title defects, encumbrances, ownership issues, litigation risks, or other legal concerns and escalate them appropriately.

• Coordinate with advocates and internal departments for property due diligence and legal verification.


5. Government Liaisoning – Revenue & Legal Authorities


• Coordinate with the Tahsildar, Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Collector’s Office, Talathi, and other government/revenue authorities.

• Handle follow-ups related to land records, property documentation, revenue matters, and other government-related legal issues.

• Prepare and submit applications, representations, replies, and supporting documents to the concerned authorities.

• Follow up on pending applications, orders, permissions, certificates, and other official matters.

• Maintain proper records of submissions, correspondence, meetings, and follow-up actions.


6. Client & Internal Department Coordination


• Coordinate with clients and relevant stakeholders regarding case status, documentation, and legal requirements.

• Provide timely updates regarding case progress and address documentation-related queries.

• Coordinate with Legal, Liaisoning, Sales, CRM, Accounts, and Construction teams whenever required.

• Collect, organize, and maintain documents required for litigation, property transactions, and government submissions.


7. Legal Compliance & Reporting


• Maintain an updated Litigation Tracker containing case details, court name, advocate details, hearing dates, current status, and next action points.

• Ensure timely follow-up on court orders, legal notices, statutory deadlines, and other legal requirements.

• Maintain organized physical and digital records of case files, legal documents, agreements, notices, orders, and official correspondence.

• Prepare periodic reports for management covering pending litigation, upcoming hearings, case status, critical deadlines, and important legal developments. Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of civil, property, and real estate litigation.

• Practical knowledge of court proceedings and litigation management.

• Experience in legal drafting and documentation.

• Knowledge of property title search and due diligence.

• Experience in dealing with revenue and government authorities.

• Strong advocate and external counsel coordination skills.

• Good understanding of property and land-related documentation.

• Strong follow-up and coordination skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication.

• Good documentation, record-keeping, and reporting skills.

• Ability to manage multiple legal matters and deadlines simultaneously.

• Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Word, and legal documentation systems.


Preferred Experience


• Experience in real estate / property law will be preferred.

• Prior experience handling litigation, property disputes, revenue matters, and government liaisoning will be an advantage.

• Candidates with hands-on experience coordinating with High Court, District/Lower Courts, advocates, Tahsildar, SDO, Collector’s Office, and Talathi will be preferred. Education

• LL.B. / LL.M. or equivalent legal qualification.

• Relevant experience in litigation and real estate legal matters preferred.
