Job Title: Power Press Machine Operator

Department: Production

Location: Shiv Shakti PressTech Pvt. Ltd., Navi Mumbai

Reporting to: Production Manager

Shift: As per company policy (General Shift 09.00 am to 06.30 pm)

Job Purpose: To operate power press machines safely and efficiently for metal stamping operations, ensuring quality and productivity in accordance with SSPPL standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Machine Operation:

• Operate mechanical or hydraulic power press machines (5Ton to 150Ton).
• Set up dies, tools, and workpieces accurately.
• Conduct trial runs and adjustments as needed.
• Monitor machine operation to detect issues and ensure optimal performance.

2. Quality Assurance:

• Inspect stamped parts visually and with gauges for defects and dimensional accuracy.
• Follow quality check sheets and report non-conformities to QC or Supervisor.
• Ensure production meets drawing specifications and tolerances.

3. Safety and Maintenance:

• Operate machines strictly following safety SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
• Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
• Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance like lubrication and cleaning.

4. Production Reporting:

• Maintain daily production logs.
• Record downtime, scrap, and reasons.
• Report completed quantities and shift performance.

5. Workplace Discipline:

• Maintain cleanliness (5S) at work area.
• Follow shift timings and adhere to break policies.
• Coordinate with tool room, maintenance, and quality departments.

6. Qualifications:

• Education: 10th Pass / ITI Fitter / Sheet Metal preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years operating power press machines in a sheet metal / stamping setup.
• Skillset:
• Knowledge of different dies: blanking, piercing, bending, deep draw.
• Understanding of press tonnage, stroke settings, and tool alignment.
• Ability to read basic engineering drawings.
• Basic troubleshooting skills.
• KPIs (Key Performance Indicators):Press uptime and productivity.
• Rejection rate and rework incidents.
• Adherence to safety and SOP compliance.
• Tool damage or misuse incidents.
• Timely and accurate reporting.
• Physical Requirements:Ability to stand for long durations.
• Manual handling of sheet metal components.
• Fit to work in industrial environment with exposure to noise and vibration.
