Job Description
- Accountant – Job ResponsibilitiesMaintain day-to-day accounting records and book all financial transactions.
- Prepare and maintain cash book, bank book, journal, ledger, and general ledger.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Generate and verify customer invoices, vendor bills, and payment vouchers.
- Process vendor payments and follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Handle GST compliance, including preparation and filing of GST returns.
- Deduct and deposit TDS, prepare TDS returns, and ensure tax compliance.
- Assist in Income Tax compliance and statutory audits.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and banks.
- Prepare MIS reports and financial statements for management.
- Reconcile customer, vendor, and ledger accounts regularly.
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Process payroll accounting entries and statutory deductions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory regulations.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Perform any other accounting and finance-related tasks assigned by the management.
- Required SkillsStrong knowledge of Tally Prime/ERP software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas).
- Sound knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and accounting principles.
- Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
