Education: B.Tech / B.E. (Mechanical) preferred; MBA with relevant HVAC/project experience may also be considered

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong HVAC Site Engineer / Project Engineer who can independently handle HVAC projects from planning and design coordination to site execution and project completion.

The candidate should have strong knowledge of AutoCAD, HVAC heat-load calculations, HVAC project execution, site supervision, quantity estimation, coordination with interior/architect teams, vendors and clients. Candidates with basic marketing and business development skills will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle complete HVAC project execution from start to completion.
• Prepare, read and understand HVAC drawings, layouts, schematics and shop drawings using AutoCAD.
• Have strong practical knowledge of AutoCAD and be able to make necessary HVAC drawings and modifications independently.
• Perform and understand HVAC heat-load calculations and equipment selection.
• Prepare HVAC layouts for ducting, piping, equipment and other HVAC services.
• Supervise HVAC installation work at site and ensure execution as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with interior designers, architects and other consultants to resolve site-related issues and avoid clashes between HVAC and interior works.
• Attend project/site meetings with clients, architects and interior designers.
• Prepare BOQ, material requirements, quantity calculations and project-related documentation.
• Check installation quality and ensure work is completed as per project requirements.
• Monitor project schedule, manpower and day-to-day site progress.
• Prepare daily/weekly project progress reports.
• Identify site issues and provide practical technical solutions.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and handover of HVAC systems.
• Maintain proper project documentation, drawings and records.
• Support preparation of quotations, technical proposals and project costing when required.
• Assist in client meetings, enquiries and basic HVAC sales/marketing and business development activities.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, consultants, architects and interior designers.
• Visit project sites and meet prospective clients/consultants when required.

Marketing / Business Development

Candidates having knowledge of HVAC marketing, sales or business development will be preferred.

The candidate should be able to: Understand client requirements.

• Visit clients and project sites.
• Coordinate with architects and interior designers for new project opportunities.
• Explain HVAC solutions to clients.
• Prepare and discuss technical/commercial proposals.
• Follow up on enquiries and quotations.
• Develop relationships with architects, interior designers, consultants and contractors.

Educational Qualification

• B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• MBA candidates with relevant HVAC/project experience may also be considered.
• Diploma holders with strong HVAC experience may be considered based on practical knowledge.

Important: The ideal candidate should be able to manage both the technical/project execution side and client/consultant coordination side of HVAC projects.
