Interior Site Supervisor

A Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities on a construction or project site, ensuring work is completed safely, correctly, on schedule, and according to project specifications.

• Main responsibilitiesSupervise workers, subcontractors, and daily site activities.
• Plan and coordinate daily work schedules and allocate tasks.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure deadlines are met.
• Check that work follows drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety rules and site procedures.
• Conduct site inspections and identify defects, delays, or safety hazards.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Manage materials, equipment, tools, and deliveries at the site.
• Keep records of work completed, manpower, materials, site issues, and progress.
• Resolve day-to-day problems and report major issues to the project manager.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and workmanship.
• Ensure the site is clean, organized, and properly secured.
• Assist with measurements, quantities, estimates, and progress reports where required.
• Typical requirementsDiploma, ITI, or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Building, or a related field, depending on the employer.
• Previous experience in construction/site supervision is usually preferred.
• Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, drawings, and site procedures.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple workers and activities.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate site documentation and reports.
• Basic computer skills; knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project, or similar software can be an advantage.
• Willingness to work on-site and, where necessary, flexible hours.
