Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily production activities, ensuring production targets are achieved efficiently, and maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards. The role involves managing production operators, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring smooth operation of the production process.

• Key Responsibilities
• Supervise daily production and moulding shop floor operations
• Plan and allocate manpower and machines to meet production targets
• Monitor moulding machine operators and ensure adherence to process parameters
• Ensure quality checks are carried out and minimize rejection/rework
• Coordinate with store/dispatch teams for material and finished goods flow
• Maintain production, downtime, and manpower attendance records
• Ensure safety and discipline on the shop floor
• Report daily production status to management
• Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities.
• Ensure production targets are achieved as per the production plan.
• Monitor production processes, manpower, machines, and material availability.
• Allocate work and manage production operators and helpers.
• Ensure products are manufactured according to quality standards and specifications.
• Monitor machine performance and coordinate with the maintenance team for breakdowns.
• Identify production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Minimize production downtime, material wastage, and rejection.
• Maintain production records, reports, and shift documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company safety rules, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Conduct shift handovers and communicate production status to management.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Planning, and Dispatch teams.
• Train and guide production staff on processes, safety, and quality requirements.
• Monitor employee attendance, discipline, and productivity.
• Support continuous improvement and 5S activities.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and workplace safety in the production area.
• Required QualificationsDiploma / ITI / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Production, Electrical, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Knowledge of production processes, quality standards, and workplace safety.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting.
• Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Experience

Typically 2–5 years of relevant experience in production supervision, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
