Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end execution of Smart Water Metering, AMI/AMR and LoRaWAN projects.
  • Plan and coordinate site surveys, meter installation, testing, commissioning and network deployment activities.
  • Coordinate with clients, OEMs, installation teams, system integrators, subcontractors and other stakeholders for smooth project execution.
  • Monitor project progress against approved schedules, milestones and deliverables.
  • Manage field manpower, installation teams and resources to ensure timely project completion.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety requirements, project specifications and contractual obligations.
  • Monitor meter installation, configuration, testing and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure successful meter communication, data transmission and integration with the AMI/MDM/head-end system.
  • Coordinate deployment and optimization of LoRaWAN gateways, network infrastructure and communication systems.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical, communication and site-level issues.
  • Conduct regular site visits and review field activities to ensure proper execution and quality.
  • Maintain project documentation, installation records, test reports, commissioning reports and other required project records.
  • Prepare and share project progress reports, MIS, dashboards and milestone updates with management and clients.
  • Coordinate with OEMs and technical teams for resolution of hardware, firmware, communication and integration issues.
  • Ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, SOPs and client requirements.
  • Track project risks, dependencies and bottlenecks and take corrective actions proactively.
  • Support client inspections, testing, acceptance and handover activities.
  • Ensure timely achievement of project milestones and successful project closure.
  • Facilitate a smooth transition of the completed project to the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team.


Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Smart Water Metering / AMI / AMR systems.
  • Practical understanding of LoRaWAN communication and network architecture.
  • Experience in meter installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of smart metering communication, gateways, sensors and data transmission.
  • Good project planning, execution and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage field teams and multiple project activities simultaneously.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good understanding of quality, safety and project documentation requirements.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint and project reporting tools.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to project sites as required.
  • Educational QualificationGraduate / BE / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, Civil, Mechanical, Computer Science, IT or a related engineering discipline.


Experience:

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following:
  • Smart Water Metering
  • AMI / AMR Projects

  • Electrical / Utility Metering Projects
  • Large-scale field installation and commissioning projects
