Job Title: Cashier / POS Executive

Job Summary:

The Cashier will be responsible for managing daily billing, POS terminal operations, cash transactions, and end-of-day sales reconciliation. Acting at the critical point of final guest touchpoints, this role ensures fast, accurate order punching and billing while delivering courteous customer service aligned with Mira's hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Billing & POS Operations:

·      Operate the POS/billing software (preferably Petpooja) to punch customer orders and generate accurate, itemized bills.

·      Monitor, punch, and process incoming online aggregator delivery orders (Zomato, Swiggy, direct delivery) through the POS system.

·      Handle discounts, promo codes, void bills, cancellations, and refunds strictly as per brand SOPs.

2. Cash Handling & Payment Processing:

·      Handle daily transactions across physical cash, credit/debit card swipe terminals, and UPI/QR digital payment modes.

·      Perform mandatory shift opening and closing cash counts and drawer reconciliation.

·      Ensure precision in change distribution and report any payment or cash float discrepancies immediately.

3. Reconciliation & Daily Reporting:

·      Maintain accurate, verifiable logs of daily physical cash floats and digital transaction slips.

·      Prepare and submit end-of-day Daily Sales Reports (DSR), balancing tender-wise collections against system sales.

·      Promptly escalate cash shortages, surpluses, or POS technical errors to the Store Manager.

4. Guest Service & Cross-Functional Coordination:

·      Deliver polite, warm, and efficient service during every guest checkout interaction.

·      Coordinate closely with bakery counter attendants and kitchen staff to ensure smooth order handovers.

·      Maintain high standards of hygiene, tidiness, and organization at the cashier billing station.

Qualifications & Skills:

·      1–3 years of experience as a Cashier, Billing Executive, or POS Operator in a premium café, bakery, restaurant, or retail store.

·      Hands-on experience with restaurant POS billing systems (Petpooja POS preferred).

·      Strong numerical agility, basic arithmetic calculation, and cash balancing skills.

·      Basic proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets for daily sales log entries.

·      Strong attention to detail, honesty, discipline, and customer-first demeanor.

·      Willingness to work operational shifts, including weekends and festive holidays.
