Travel Consultant

The primary role will involve one or more of the following areas:

1. Domestic & International Air Ticketing – Major Role

• Handling domestic and international flight reservations and ticketing.
• Searching and comparing fares across different airlines/GDS/booking platforms.
• Issuing, reissuing, cancelling and modifying air tickets.
• Handling fare rules, refunds, no-show cases and airline policies.
• Providing suitable flight options and fare quotations to clients.
• Coordinating with airlines, consolidators and suppliers whenever required.
• Knowledge of GDS and/or online travel portals will be an advantage.

2. Hotel Reservations

• Handling domestic and international hotel reservations.
• Searching and comparing hotel rates and room categories.
• Preparing hotel quotations as per client requirements and budget.
• Making bookings, amendments and cancellations.
• Coordinating with hotels and suppliers for special requests, upgrades and confirmations.
• Good knowledge of 4-star and 5-star hotels will be an advantage.

3. Tour Planning / Holiday Packages

• Planning customised domestic and international holidays.
• Preparing detailed itineraries based on client requirements.
• Selecting suitable hotels, sightseeing, transfers and activities.
• Coordinating with destination suppliers, hotels and transport companies.
• Preparing quotations and following up with clients until confirmation.
• Knowledge of popular domestic and international destinations will be preferred.

For example:

• Strong Domestic & International Ticketing experience
• Strong Hotel Reservation experience
• Strong Tour Planning / Holiday Package experience

Candidates with experience across multiple areas will be preferred.

• Candidate ProfilePrior experience in a travel agency, tour operator, OTA or travel company preferred.
• Good knowledge of travel industry procedures and supplier coordination.
• Good communication and client-handling skills.
• Ability to prepare quotations accurately and follow up with clients.
• Good computer skills, including MS Office/Excel.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Positive attitude, attention to detail and willingness to learn.
