Job Description

Carry out upholstery work for sofas, chairs, beds, headboards, ottomans, benches and other furniture.

Read and understand furniture designs, measurements and upholstery requirements.

Cut and prepare fabric, leatherette, foam, cushioning and other upholstery materials according to required dimensions.

Perform proper foam cutting, shaping, stitching and fitting.

Ensure neat and accurate fabric/leatherette fitting with proper tension and alignment.

Handle different types of fabrics, leatherette and upholstery materials.

Carry out button tufting, piping, pleating, channeling and other decorative upholstery work as required.

Repair and replace damaged upholstery and cushioning when required.

Ensure high-quality finishing with clean corners, seams, edges and joints.

Coordinate with carpenters and the production team to complete furniture within the required timeline.

Maintain cleanliness and safety in the upholstery work area.
