Continental Cook

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Continental Cook to prepare high-quality Continental dishes while maintaining consistent taste, presentation, and hygiene standards. The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced kitchen and takes pride in quality food.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook Continental dishes such as pasta, risotto, grills, steaks, soups, sauces, salads, and baked items as per standard recipes
• Prepare mise en place (chopping, marinating, sauces, stocks) before service
• Ensure consistent taste, portion size, and plating presentation
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as grill, oven, fryer, and salamander
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (FSSAI/HACCP)
• Monitor stock levels and inform the Head Chef of requirements
• Minimize wastage through proper storage, labelling, and FIFO practices
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times
• Coordinate with the kitchen team and service staff for smooth operations
• Assist in developing new menu items and daily specials when required
• Required Qualifications and SkillsDiploma/certificate in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management (preferred, not mandatory)
• 2-5 years of experience as a Commis/Cook/CDP in Continental cuisine
• Strong knowledge of Continental cooking techniques, sauces, and ingredients
• Good knife skills and understanding of plating
• Ability to work under pressure during peak hours
• Basic understanding of food costing and inventory
• Team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills
• Working ConditionsRotational shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Standing for long hours in a hot kitchen environment
