Desktop Support Engineer

We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to provide day-to-day IT support to users across our three branches. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting desktop, laptop, Outlook/email and other basic IT-related issues.

A key responsibility of this position will be movement between three nearby branches (approximately 2–5 km apart) for data backup, data transfer and IT support. Therefore, the candidate must have a personal bike.

• Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to desktop computers and laptops.
• Install, configure and maintain Windows operating systems, applications and required drivers.
• Troubleshoot Microsoft Outlook, email configuration, sending/receiving emails, PST/OST issues and mailbox-related problems.
• Troubleshoot printer, scanner, keyboard, mouse, monitor and other IT peripherals.
• Provide basic support for LAN, Wi-Fi, internet and network connectivity issues.
• Perform regular data backup and data transfer between all three branches.
• Travel between branches, approximately 2–5 km apart, for scheduled data backup and transfer activities.
• Ensure data is backed up properly and transferred securely between branches.
• Maintain backup records and report any backup-related issues immediately.
• Provide on-site IT support to users at different branches whenever required.
• Troubleshoot antivirus, software installation and basic security-related issues.
• Maintain IT assets and keep records of desktops, laptops and other IT equipment.
• Maintain proper documentation of complaints, resolutions, backups and branch visits.
• Ensure minimum downtime for users and provide timely resolution of IT issues.
• Follow company policies and procedures related to data security and confidentiality.
• Good knowledge of Windows OS, Desktop, Laptop and Microsoft Outlook.
• Basic knowledge of LAN, Wi-Fi, networking and printers.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Own two-wheeler/bike is mandatory.
• Valid driving licence is mandatory.
• Candidate should be comfortable travelling between branches regularly for data backup and transfer.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Should be able to work independently and handle user issues at different location
