Junior Architect

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Architectural Planning & Designing

• Prepare architectural layouts, floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed working drawings.
• Assist senior architects in developing residential, commercial, institutional, and interior design projects.
• Prepare 2D and 3D architectural designs as per project requirements.

2. Drawing & Documentation

• Prepare and modify AutoCAD drawings.
• Develop architectural working drawings, furniture layouts, electrical layouts, reflected ceiling plans, and detailed drawings.
• Prepare Good for Construction (GFC) drawings and coordinate drawing revisions.
• Maintain proper records of architectural drawings and approvals.

3. 3D Modelling & Rendering

• Create 3D models using SketchUp or Revit.
• Prepare realistic architectural and interior design renders.
• Develop design presentations, mood boards, and material concepts.

4. Site Coordination & Execution

• Conduct site visits to verify dimensions and monitor execution.
• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, vendors, and interior designers.
• Ensure site execution follows approved architectural drawings.
• Identify and resolve drawing discrepancies at the site.

5. Material Selection & BOQ

• Assist in preparing quantity estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Coordinate material selection, finishes, specifications, and samples.
• Support cost-effective design solutions without compromising quality.

6. Client & Team Coordination

• Understand client requirements and incorporate design changes.
• Prepare architectural presentations for client approvals.
• Coordinate with structural, electrical, plumbing, and MEP consultants.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned drawings and design deliverables.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
• Working knowledge of Revit, Lumion, Enscape, V-Ray or 3ds Max will be an advantage.
• Understanding of architectural working drawings and construction detailing.
• Knowledge of interior materials, finishes, furniture, and modular designs.
• Ability to conduct site measurements and prepare accurate layouts.
• Good communication, coordination, and time-management skills.

Educational Qualification

• B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture) preferred.
