Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

GT Magnetics Pvt. Ltd. is an ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001 certified manufacturer of transformers, toroids, line filters and inductors, with three plants in Noida and a workforce of about 300. Our customers include Havells, Orient Electric, Syrma SGS and Eureka Forbes. We are hiring a Maintenance Engineer to keep our automatic coil winding, assembly and testing machines running. This is a hands-on, single-person role covering all three plants.

Responsibilities

• Attend and repair machine breakdowns quickly and find the root cause of each failure.
• Replace pneumatic cylinders, solenoid valves, LM guides and blocks, ball screws, bearings, belts, servo / stepper motors, drives, sensors, power cables and encoder cables.
• Repair and align mandrels and winding tooling; set machines back within tolerance.
• Plan and carry out preventive maintenance and lubrication for every machine.
• Support mechanical changeovers on winding machines.
• Maintain a critical spares list and raise purchase requests on time.
• Install and commission new machines.
• Maintain plant electrical panels, MCB / ELCB protection, UPS, stabilizer and DG set.
• Keep breakdown logs and machine history cards up to date.
• Follow lockout / tagout and machine safety rules.

Requirements

• Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or Electronics.
• 4 – 8 years of hands-on maintenance of automatic production machines.
• Experience on coil-winding, CNC or SPM machines in an electronics or magnetics plant preferred.
• Sound knowledge of pneumatics, LM guides, ball screws, servo / stepper motors and
• drives, encoder and power cabling, PLC / CNC basics and tolerances.
• Able to read mechanical, pneumatic and electrical drawings.
• Use of vernier, micrometer, dial indicator, multimeter and megger.
• Willing to attend breakdowns outside shift hours when required.

NOTE- Preferred: experience on coil-winding, CNC or SPM machines, or in an electronics / magnetics plant.
