Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced and skilled Senior Welder to handle welding and fabrication work, ensure high-quality welds, and guide junior welders. The candidate should have strong practical knowledge of welding processes, fabrication drawings, welding equipment, and workplace safety. Senior welders are generally expected to handle complex welding assignments and maintain quality standards.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPerform welding and fabrication work as per drawings, measurements, specifications, and work instructions.
• Perform MIG, TIG, ARC/SMAW welding as required.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Prepare, cut, align, fit, and assemble metal components before welding.
• Select appropriate welding process, electrodes, filler materials, and machine settings.
• Inspect welded joints for defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut, and improper penetration.
• Carry out grinding, finishing, and corrective welding wherever required.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and proper alignment of fabricated components.
• Operate and maintain welding machines, gas cutting equipment, grinders, and other tools.
• Identify welding-related problems and troubleshoot them effectively.
• Maintain welding equipment and report any malfunction or maintenance requirement.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and production standards.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and maintain a safe working environment.
• Guide, train, and supervise junior welders and helpers.
• Coordinate with the Production Supervisor and other team members to complete jobs on time.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and workplace discipline.
• Required SkillsStrong hands-on experience in MIG/TIG/ARC welding.
• Good knowledge of metal fabrication and welding techniques.
• Ability to read engineering/fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of different metals such as MS, SS, and aluminium.
• Good understanding of welding defects and corrective techniques.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as vernier calipers, measuring tape, square, etc.
• Strong attention to detail and quality consciousness.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as lead a small team.
• Good knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
• Qualification & ExperienceITI / Diploma in Welder or Fabrication Trade preferred.
• 5–10+ years of relevant welding experience, depending on the complexity of the work.
• Candidates with welding/fabrication certification will be preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial fabrication, machinery, or structural fabrication will be an advantage.
