Payroll Specialist

Experience: 2–5 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing and statutory compliance.

Knowledge Base: In-depth understanding of the PF Act, ESIC regulations, Professional Tax (PT), Labour Welfare Fund (LWF), and Minimum Wages Act.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and experience with HRMS/Payroll software (e.g., Keka, GreytHR, Saral, ADP, Zoho).

Soft Skills: High attention to detail, ability to meet strict deadlines (especially around the 7th–15th of the month), and strong communication skills to handle employee queries.

Key Responsibilities

1. Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end salary processing, including attendance, leave, overtime, and salary slips.
2. PF & ESIC Compliance:

• ECR Upload & Challan Generation: Monthly filing of PF and ESI contributions via the EPFO and ESIC portals.
• KYC & Member Services: UAN generation, KYC updates, transfer claims, and death claims.
• Registration: Handling new employer registration and employee enrollment.

1. Statutory Reporting: Maintaining statutory registers (Muster Rolls, Wage Registers) and filing monthly/quarterly/annual returns.
2. Audit Readiness: Ensuring all compliance documentation is updated for audits and inspections by labor authorities.
3. Full & Final Settlement: Processing final settlements, including gratuity, earned leave, and statutory deductions.
