Sales & Service Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Generate sales opportunities for portable and fixed gas detection systems.
• Understand customer applications, site conditions, and required gases such as LEL, O₂, CO, H₂S, CO₂, NH₃, Cl₂, SO₂, and NO₂.
• Recommend suitable gas detectors, sensors, transmitters, controllers, and accessories.
• Conduct customer meetings, site surveys, product demonstrations, and technical presentations.
• Coordinate with the technical team to determine detector quantity, installation location, gas range, and system configuration.
• Prepare technical and commercial quotations based on customer enquiries and RFQs.
• Prepare tender documents, technical datasheets, BOQs, and compliance statements.
• Regularly follow up on quotations, negotiate with customers, close orders, and achieve sales targets.
• Explain product features, alarm settings, calibration requirements, warranty, and maintenance procedures to customers.
• Coordinate with purchase, accounts, service, and dispatch teams to ensure timely order execution and delivery.
• Coordinate with service engineers for installation, commissioning, calibration, and after-sales support.
• Handle customer complaints and technical queries and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain relationships with existing customers and generate repeat orders, AMC, calibration, and service business.
• Monitor competitor products, market prices, and new business opportunities.
• Maintain daily visit reports, enquiry records, quotation follow-ups, and monthly sales reports.
• Recommend appropriate solutions in accordance with OEM guidelines and applicable safety standards.
• Be willing to travel to customer sites across India as required.
