The Challenge

Adobe is seeking an outstanding Developer passionate about platform engineering, automation, and engineering intelligence. You will join an engineering efficiency team. In this role, you will own and improve large-scale platform systems that support engineering workflows, telemetry integration, automation, and visibility across client-side, web, and mobile platforms.

You will help architect resilient systems that integrate CI/CD, automation, release, and operational signals into scalable services that provide reliable and actionable insights. Building software at Adobe’s scale demands platforms that are fast, dependable, secure, and thoughtfully built to serve engineers effectively.

If you enjoy working in complex, high-impact problem spaces, this role is for you. You will shape systems that influence how engineering teams build, measure, and ship software.

What you’ll do

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services and automation systems across multiple environments.
• Be accountable for the build, stability, and continuous evolution of large-scale platform infrastructure.
• Drive end to end automation to streamline operational procedures.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to improve developer experience.
• Build and develop engineering intelligence surfaces and visualization layers.
• Evaluate, implement, and enforce application, operating system, and security requirements.
• Use and maintain version control and infrastructure as code practices.

What you need to succeed

• Experience defining meaningful engineering metrics and building visualization systems.
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience with Python, Java, or similar backend technologies.
• Production level expertise with containerization and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong experience in building and operating platform services, including CI and CD integrations.
• Experience crafting APIs and backend systems.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Ability to write and maintain high quality code.
• Proven strength in debugging complex issues.
• Strong grounding in agile development methodologies.
• Experience supporting large and globally distributed engineering teams.
• Demonstrated ability to detail system architecture and workflows clearly.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• A practical and systems thinking approach.
