Position: Production Incharge – Warehouse / Assembly Operations Department: Operations


Function: Warehouse / Production & Assembly

Experience: 5–6 Years

Education: Graduate in any discipline

Location: Padgha/ Sape

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reporting To: Operations Manager / Site Manager


1. Job Purpose

The Production Incharge will be responsible for managing day-to-day warehouse production and assembly operations, ensuring achievement of production targets, productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, safety, and customer requirements. The role will involve effective manpower planning, process control, team management, MIS reporting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.


2. Key Responsibilities Production & Operations Management

  • Manage daily production and assembly activities to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations.
  • Plan and execute daily production activities as per customer requirements and business priorities.
  • Monitor production targets, productivity, quality, and adherence to timelines.
  • Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, equipment, and operational resources.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement timely corrective actions.

Manpower & Team Management

  • Plan shift-wise manpower requirements based on production volume and workload.
  • Allocate manpower effectively across different activities and workstations.
  • Lead, motivate, and monitor the performance of the operations team.
  • Ensure proper attendance, discipline, productivity, and adherence to work instructions.
  • Conduct regular team briefings and communicate daily targets and priorities.

Material & Inventory Management

  • Ensure timely availability of materials at the production/assembly line.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and inventory teams for material movement and replenishment.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure proper stock control.
  • Ensure FIFO/FEFO and other applicable inventory control practices.
  • Minimize material shortages, excess consumption, damage, and operational losses.

WMS / SAP & MIS

  • Ensure accurate and timely WMS/SAP transactions for all operational activities.
  • Monitor system stock versus physical stock and highlight discrepancies.
  • Prepare daily production, productivity, manpower, inventory, and operational MIS.
  • Monitor KPIs and prepare performance dashboards for management review.
  • Ensure timely submission of daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.

Quality, Safety & 5S

  • Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, work instructions, quality standards, and customer requirements.
  • Maintain workplace safety and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
  • Drive 5S, housekeeping, and visual management across the work area.
  • Identify unsafe conditions and take immediate corrective action.
  • Support internal, customer, quality, and safety audits.

Customer & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate with customers, planning, warehouse, quality, inventory, HR, and other support functions.
  • Ensure timely resolution of operational issues and customer concerns.
  • Communicate production status, challenges, and requirements to the reporting manager.
  • Maintain effective communication between shifts and ensure proper handover.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, cost, and operational efficiency.
  • Drive Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Reduce operational waste, rework, downtime, and unnecessary movement.
  • Support implementation of process improvements and standardization.

4. Candidate ProfileEducation

  • Graduate in any discipline.
  • Diploma/Degree in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, Production, or a related field will be an advantage.

Experience

  • 5–6 years of relevant experience in warehouse, production, assembly, contract logistics, or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience in handling shop-floor/warehouse teams and shift operations is preferred.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse and production/assembly processes.
  • Good understanding of inventory management and stock control.
  • Strong manpower planning and team-handling capabilities.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel, MIS, and operational reporting.
  • Working knowledge of WMS/SAP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple operational priorities.
  • Strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate should be a hands-on operations professional with strong experience in warehouse/assembly operations, capable of independently managing manpower, production targets, material flow, inventory, WMS/SAP transactions, MIS, safety, quality, and customer requirements while driving productivity and continuous improvement.
