Job Description
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, layouts, and welding symbols to plan the sequence of fabrication operations.
- Material Preparation: Cut, bend, grind, and clean metal parts (steel, aluminum, iron) using hand tools, plasma cutters, and grinders before welding.
- Welding & Fabrication: Set up and operate welding equipment using MIG, TIG, or ARC/Stick techniques depending on job specifications.
- Assembly: Position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to welding using clamps, fixtures, and turnbuckles.
- Quality Inspection: Inspect welded components for cracks, defects, or deviations from design layouts using measuring tapes and gauges to ensure high-quality standards.
- Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety regulations, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like welding helmets, gloves, and safety shoes.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on welding machines, tools, and the workstation to ensure operational safety.
