Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and Inspecting: Check incoming shipments against purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices. Inspect goods for damage, defects, or missing quantities.
- Storage and Organization: Store items systematically in designated locations using code numbers or categories. Apply the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method for perishable or dated stock.
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate digital and physical records of stock movements, entries, and exits. Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits.
- Issuing Goods: Distribute materials or supplies to internal departments or customers based on approved requests.
- Reordering and Communication: Monitor stock thresholds and notify purchasing teams when items run low or reach maximum capacity.
- Safety and Maintenance: Keep the storage area clean, organized, and free of hazards while following safety protocols.
