Momos Cook

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare momo dough from scratch (mixing flour, water, sometimes oil for elasticity).

• Make various fillings (veg: cabbage, carrot, onion, garlic, ginger; non-veg: chicken, paneer; sometimes fusion like cheese or schezwan).

• Fold/wrap momos expertly in different styles (half-moon, round, pleated, etc.) for consistent shape and to prevent bursting.

• Cook momos using methods like steaming, deep-frying, pan-frying (kothey), grilling/tandoori, or in gravy/sizzler styles.

• Prepare accompaniments: momo achar (tomato-based spicy chutney), sesame-tomato dips, garlic-chili sauce, schezwan chutney.

• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and proper storage of ingredients (e.g., keeping fillings fresh, dough covered).

• Assist with kitchen setup, cleaning, inventory of momo-specific items, and sometimes basic Chinese/Indo-Chinese dishes (noodles, manchurian) if the outlet combines menus.

• Innovate or refine recipes for new varieties (e.g., cheesy momos, grilled variants).
